Amplifon, world leader in the field of hearing aids and services, has moved its German headquarters from Borgfelde to the St. Pauli district (Zirkusweg 4-6). Amplifon Deutschland Group has taken modern offices in Hamburg’s central borough ‘Mitte’.
One of the leading brands in Germany, Amplifon employs 150 people in its main office, and more than 1,800 sales representatives and staff in over 600 specialist outlets. The new offices occupy 2,500 square metres spread over two floors. It took six months to fit out the premises. The modern and attractively furnished space, which reflects the corporate DNA, offers an inspiring work environment and promotes cooperation between employees. Moving into these refurbished premises is a vote of confidence for Hamburg as a business location and sets the stage for Amplifon’s sustainable growth in Germany, one of the 25 countries in which the Group operates.
Alessandro Ursino, managing director of Amplifon Deutschland, says, “Our new offices represent an important milestone for the company and will take us a good step along the road to becoming the market leader in Germany. We can offer our employees a superb workplace at the new location, one which promotes cooperation and exchange. I am convinced that this also makes the company more attractive to up-and-coming talent.”
apoprojekt was responsible for the design of the new office suite, the actual fit-out and the oversight of building work. This design and build specialist is Germany’s leading company for tenant fit-out in existing buildings. “The alterations enabled us to implement a fit-out that matches our vision of workplaces for the future. By partnering with apoprojekt we were also able to fulfil our responsibility towards the environment. For example, we had the soundproof panels and interior doors that the previous tenant had used treated to meet our specifications,” says Alessandro Ursino.
Grossmann & Berger, member of German Property Partners (GPP), a pan-German network of local leaders in the real estate services sector, supported Amplifon in its search for a new location and a successor tenant for the old premises, and brokered the appropriate agreements.
“Amplifon is a prime example of how the work environment is changing and how companies should deal with it – including proactive and professional support,”
says Andreas Rehberg, managing director of Grossmann & Berger.
Bayerische Rechtsanwalts- und Steuerberaterversorgung, a professionals’ pension fund represented by the pension fund Bayerische Versorgungskammer, owns the offices which have been let to Amplifon.
