Scandic Fashion, a clothes store, has opened the eighth boutique in the “Scandic way of Life” chain at Kurpromenade 8 in Timmendorfer Strand. The firm, whose registered main office is in Kiel, sells ladies’ clothing of Nordic/Scandinavian design. The property, located in the busy shopping street near the beach, offers some 115 m² of space and is owned by a North German investment company. Grossmann & Berger, a member of German Property Partners (GPP), brokered the rental agreement between the company and Scandic Fashion. The company has already moved in and recently celebrated its opening.
Nordic, sustainable
Scandic Fashion stands for clothing manufactured in sustainable, fair manner. Inspired by memories of childhood holidays on the Island of Sylt, general manager Dennis Niemann opened the first Scandic Boutique in Kiel in 1996. In 2012 he designed his first fashion collection, “Sorgenfri Sylt”. Other brands – Lykka du nord, Danefire, Scandic, Strikkeby, Heiter bis Wolkig and Lindgroen – are now part of the company too. This rental on the Baltic coast enables Scandic Fashion to expand its presence in North Germany. With a payroll of around 90 people, the company already has boutiques in Kiel, Flensburg, Eckernförde, Lübeck, Husum, Warnemünde and on Sylt Island.
