The shoe and streetwear chain Snipes recently agreed to rent some 450 m² of shop space at Spitalerstrasse 1. Grossmann & Berger, a member of German Property Partners (GPP), brokered the rental agreement between Snipes and the property management firm which owns the commercial block. Formerly the Lloyd Hotel, this property is being extensively refurbished and completion is scheduled for early 2025.
Prominent site on popular shopping street
Spitalerstrasse is one of Hamburg’s premium shopping streets. Numerous famous brands such as Nike, Zara and H&M have outlets here. The premises Snipes have rented are very close to the main station. There is a large shop window frontage, offering excellent visibility.
Adding to existing interests in Hamburg
Snipes already has six outlets in Hamburg, one of them on Mönckebergstrasse in the city centre. This new store emphasizes the firm’s belief that the centre of Hamburg is an important retail location.
