Neuer Wall has gained a retailer of exclusive clothing for babies and young children. On 18 November Petite Poupette opened its new boutique located at Neuer Wall 86. The premises, around 273 m² in size, are in the ‘Görtzpalais’, a commercial building in the ‘Stadthöfe’ ensemble owned by the Lower Saxony medical pension fund Ärzteversorgung Niedersachsen. Grossmann & Berger, member of German Property Partners (GPP), brokered the lease.
More shops for small children on Neuer Wall
The boutique is on the right hand side of the passage through to the ‘Palaishof’. A glass frontage alongside the passage floods the shop with light. Together with its restrained interior design and high ceilings, the boutique has a spacious air. Petite Poupette has been selling clothing and accessories for the under tens for over 15 years and in 2013 extended the range to cater to girls aged up to twelve. Brands on sale include Baby Dior, Bogner, Bonpoint, Burberry, Givenchy, Gucci, Fendi, Moncler and Oscar et Valentine. Petite Poupette also has outlets in the ‘Hamburger Hof Passage’ at Jungfernstieg 26-28, and in the Rotherbaum district at Bei St. Johannis 4. In the medium term the first-named shop, likewise brokered by Grossmann & Berger, will relocate to Neuer Wall.
‘Stadthöfe’ are good for business on Neuer Wall
The reason is that the ‘Hamburger Hof’ is to be fully refurbished in the foreseeable future in order to reflect its prominent location on the corner of Jungfernstieg opposite the Alster jetty. ‘Stadthöfe’ have already completed this process. Their redevelopment has particularly enhanced the section of Neuer Wall closest to HafenCity, and Petite Poupette is now an additional highlight.
